My coworker invited me to her show as we have discovered a shared love for hyperpop. I convinced Ben to go with me and we enjoyed bopping to her music in the dingy backroom of our local pizza bar until we both got sleepy enough to go home. We decided that we actually preferred the opener, Estelle Allen.

Cold Spring Harbor - Billy Joel

Grandpapa and I took a trip to the ozarks and music continues to be our main line of connection. I put on Billy Joel because I’m being pretty intentional about putting on familiar music for him. We listened through most of the albums and I remain loyal to my long-held stance that this is the best one. I couldn’t help but remenisce over days driving up Koke’e with Spencer and hearing him softly sing along whenever Billy Joel was on, only strengthening my obsession with his music’s magical powers.
